Upon arriving in New York City, Blandi joined the Sergio Valente salon on St. Marks Place in Manhattan. His brother, Luca Blandi, also joined the salon, marking the beginning of their professional partnership.
Together, they honed their craft and built a reputation for excellence in hairstyling.
Opening the Oscar Blandi Salon
In 1998, Oscar Blandi opened his own salon within the iconic Plaza Hotel on Fifth Avenue, New York City. The salon quickly became a destination for those seeking top-tier hairstyling services, attracting a clientele that included celebrities and fashion elites.

And since 2020 the business evolved into Blandi Salon, run by Angie, Luca and Oscar, and looking ahead to the next 10 years in the city.

In 2022, Blandi Salon moved back to The Plaza, the location of Oscar's first salon. This move coincided with the team's renewed commitment to being at the heart of New York's fashion and beauty scene, pioneering treatments for a new generation of clients from across the city and across the globe.
